Lighting up
Just a quick note for readers: tomorrow
begins the annual pilgrimage to Kissimmee for Lotusphere 2009. Since
Escape Velocity officially went dark until Lotusphere, and Lotusphere is
here, that means Escape Velocity will officially be lighting up again.
And hopefully lighting up in a very big way. Starting with
a sneak peek at our
Mac vs PC ad spoof.
The time away from blogging has been pretty effective. I got new title at Lotus 911: Director of Application Development. Which is a lot of syllables to say that this guy and this guy and this guy (but not this guy) now report to me, along with a few other less notorious but equally talented Yellowbleeders. Our team's average experience building Notes/Domino solutions is over 12 years.
With a team like that, can we get things done?
Yes we can.
So, whether you're at Lotusphere or not, you're going to see those things in the coming days. Lotus 911 is introducing not one, not two, but SEVEN new offerings at Lotusphere this year, including multiple Lotus Award contenders.
Oh, and I've been fortunate enough to be selected for the Lotusphere Blogger Program this year. So somewhere amidst the product releases, breakout session, BoFs, and socializing, I'll be squeezing in a whole lot of blogging. Plus I'll be interviewing a Lotus executive for the blog. It's not going to be the standard IT interview approach. But I'll give you a hint: "scrumtrulecent"
Welcome back, dear readers. I hope you enjoy the show!
