Proof of no life

Please refrain from all the obvious jokes about whether the keyboard was sticky. I did in fact once spill apple juice on it during an LCTY presentation, so yes, it was. :-)
I had to retire my Thinkpad T60 yesterday due to a problem with the video that had been going on for months.  The unit was about 20 months old, and I first started using it around March of 2007.

If you're thinking "wow, that didn't last very long" have a look at the keyboard.  Note that not only did I wear the letters off 4 keys, but the matte finish on the space bar was polished by my right thumb.

*sigh* I need to get a hobby that doesn't involve the computer.

1 - hehe...get some kids (or horses...they'll do fine too) and you'll quickly be cured of that problem! Emoticon

2 - That unfortunately isn't true. I have 5 kids and I STILL need more time away from the computer. <Sigh>

3 - Hmm, how about we build an Aircraft?

4 - Kennesaw Mountain, Tue&Thu morning @ ~11am, easy 45min hike Emoticon

5 - Spend more time polishing bass strings with your thumb.

6 - I work with a women that has rather long nails. You can hear her typing from across the room. I honestly don't think that they are normal human nails, rather more of an adamantium like material. After about 6 months, most of the letters on her keyboard are gone! Just a whole lot of black buttons.

7 - @Andy - THAT is funny! So, what do you do? Order a new keyboard? Emoticon

8 - I think you need one of these - { Link } you can't rub the letters off that one.

9 - Nathan
order a new keyboard its only around 80$ - you must sleep with your laptop ( typing in your sleep too )

cheers
