Question of the Day

Please respond in comments...

Keep the hair?  The wife has grown to love it.

Comments

1 - I think in a court of law, the defense would object, saying "Asked and answered!"

2 - Emoticon Ben, I honestly don't remember your answer. Which is why I'm asking now.

3 - I think Ben was trying to say you answered it yourself. I thought it looked a bit odd when I first saw it, but after a couple days it seemed to look more fitting. I say keep it.

4 - Well if you go to a Tech basketball game with that hair, you'll probably get on TV.

5 - If I wasn't fully blind prior to LS 08 I am for sure now Emoticon

6 - I agree with Rich. The progression of my reaction was:
Slightly creepy -> Amusing -> Intuitive

Come to think of it, that would aptly describe the user interface of a few of my old Notes applications.

7 - @5 - I think that was the red shirts instead of the hair. Emoticon

8 - I am not sure, if the "wife" likes it then I would go with it. You kind of remind me of the Heat Mister on one of those Rudolph cartoons. Emoticon

9 - I am also one for "if the wife likes it, then keep it." She's the one that has to look at you the most. This is why I never buy perfume without Matt there to 'approve' it - he has to be around me all the time, he better like it! Emoticon

10 - it's YOU baby. i love it! next year i'm going blue. (i almost did that this year actually)

11 - What does the boss (the "other" boss) think?

12 - Keeeeep it! And get a good tattoo... !

13 -
When considering the question of taking the advice on your appearance of your wife vs. that of your friends, the answer can be found using this simple consideration....

Once set of advice comes from someone who has a reasonable likelihood of having sex with you. The other set of advice comes from people who, even if it were available, you probably wouldn't want it from.

To me, the answer is quite clear.

14 - I am torn ... on one hand, if you keep it, we will always have an example of what not to do with our applications Emoticon

on the other hand, and a serious note, do you have customers that would not let you on-site with that hair? That is a serious thought ... and something you have to decide.

15 - Yes, in my clearly obtuse way, I was trying to say that if your wife likes it, you might as well keep it. She has to look at you every day - we certainly don't.

16 - I've been telling anyone who would listen for YEARS that blond Domino geeks get all the fun. I am just happy that you've finally made this discovery Nathan. Thus, combined with your wife's answer, you know the path forward...

17 - Dude, you gotta keep it! Especially it the wife loves it. I only wish I had thought of it.

Now, if John really goes blue next year then I have to see that!

18 - I was going to say something about cuff and collar matching, but never mind... TMI.

19 - Yellow is . . . Nathan Emoticon

20 - Call me a stuffy contrarian party pooper, but since you asked, I preferred hair 1.0 (but don't expect any favors if you switch back and your wife wishes you hadn't Emoticon ).

21 - well she loves you too...what does that show about her taste?Emoticon

22 - Well... you were going gray in a serious way

This way you get to dye it and still be hip. Emoticon

23 - Hey! It's hip to be gray!! (I say so because it's slowly happening to me...) Emoticon

24 - Is there photographic evidence for those that were not at LS2008?

25 - Pedro: { Link } . That's John Head in the lower left, Bruce Elgort with the microphone, Chris Blatnick to his left, and Mr. Yellowhair in the lower right looking all spunky. Emoticon And here's a shot of Nathan during the closing session, when Alton Brown (a US TV celebrity on the Food Network) said "No, let's talk about you." { Link }
