Countdown to Orlando
One of the more interesting aspects of Lotus911's presence at Lotusphere is how we get there. Since so many of our folks who are going are based in Atlanta, it actually turns out that it's easier to just rent a bus and drive down than it is to fly. A great side-effect of this approach is the bus ride itself. Last year, it was a 6-hour discussion on support strategies as an aspect of software user experience. Much fun.
This year, it'll be the first time since his starting week that Tim, Mike and I get to sit together for any extended period. So we've been plotting.... "what are we going to build on the way to Lotusphere?" It's become known as "bus code." As in...
"We should do blah blah blah"
"That sounds like bus code."
It's gotten to the point now that I've asked whether we can have a proper Domino server environment and network switch on the vehicle. (I haven't dared asked for mobile internet access.... yet.) It should be quite an experience.
I'm tempted to ask for suggestions, but honestly, we have so many major efforts going on at 'sphere this year that I just know we wouldn't have time.
Aww.... who am I kidding? Suggest away!
