UPDATE: Chris Blatnick informs me that the download links aren't working. Sorry about that.. Working on it right now.
UPDATE: Fixed. Download the Crossframe link!!!
I had a breakthrough with Lotuscript today. It's a biggie. It's going to take the weekend to document properly. But you can download it now on my Download list.
Colin Macdonald has been working with me on doing something previously considered impossible in Lotuscript. This is not a full generalized implementation, but it's a working prototype and when I can generalize it into a framework, it's going to allow us to do stuff in Notes UIs that'll cause your head to explode. I wanna see if it's good enough to actually do this to Bill Buchan!
Here's what we're doing...
1) Binding Notes object events to routines that run OUTSIDE the frame/tab where the event occured.
2) Passing custom class objects between those event routing calls -- simulating a global object for the ENTIRE CLIENT SPACE.
It's not fully fleshed out yet, but if those two concepts have your head spinning, download the demo NSF.
I thought about waiting to put this out there, but to be honest, I'm on Cloud 10 right now 'cause I'm so excited about what this does, and you know I love to share that.
Big thanks to Andy Broyles for his work on dynamic event binding that was a big contributing factor here.
