A rant from a surprising source
Recent birthday boy John Head has an uncharacteristically public beef with IBM on their ISV relationships for Lotus products. I don't have much to add to the discussion except "amen." He pretty much says it all.
Perhaps Lotus is hesitant to do the kind of application invoking that Microsoft does all the time because they're concerned about security or something? But surely there's some process that could be invoked by these types of files & MIME types that could broker the behavior in some way, right?
Or maybe that's just a really good program to write and sell to Notes customers.
