The greatest rock trio of all time...
Snakes and Arrows

I'm not even through the first song and I'm already all goose bumps.  This is going to be a good day!

UPDATE: THREE INSTRUMENTALS!!!  THREE!!!!  What is this, 1978!??!  I'm in heaven.

Comments

1 - Maybe this is one that just takes some time to get into, but the first couple of listens left me completely cold. Good execution, just lacking passion (IMHO, of course).

2 - Rush is such a chameleon band that EVERY album they put out does that to me. The first time I heard Hold Your Fire, I was like "huh?" By the fifth listen, I was in love. Repeat again for the next 20 years, and that's my relationship with this band. Emoticon

3 - Also... put Bravest Face on repeat for a while.

4 - Well, "Far Cry" blew me away on first listen. I didn't find the rest of the album like that... now I do. Wow, is it a grower. Although OK, OK, I took one listen of "Malignant Narcissm" and my jaw dropped. Geddy has such an awesome tone: rock, yet amazingly funky at the same time.

It's a fantastic album, and big up to the producer!

5 - Was hoping you'd reply, Ben.

Yeah, MN is a total mindbender. Wanna have that groove down by next 'sphere. Maybe I can convince Bruce to break out that beat. Emoticon

6 - COOL! Just got it and listening now and LOVIN' IT!

7 - Yeah baby, playing something like MN on stage would be an utter blast. On the face of it, quite a simple groove. But if I hear a bass player do something like that justice, I just KNOW she or he is a fine musician. Awesome.

Oh, and "Spindrift" is turning into a big fave too Emoticon
