Before hanging up his orange apron , Home Depot CEO Bob Nardelli found it in his heart when first appearing on the scene to spend millions of shareholder dollars on ripping out Lotus Notes and replacing it with Outlook and Exchange. According to inside sources, the initiative was directed because Nardelli and the top brass cronies he brought in did not like the way Notes looked, and was more comfortable using Outlook. The general consensus internally was to stay with notes, even after an initial assessment showed it was not economically viable.
Apparently, no one told him about DAMO.
Where the hell was the Business Partner at the time?
Where the hell is that IBM rep now? How could they drop the ball like that and lose that account for no good reason?
No doubt this little nugget of info should be part of any class action lawsuit taken by shareholders, including myself.
